Stacey’s Story

When Stacey joined our 42 Day Challenge this summer in Osprey, she wasn’t chasing a quick fix. She wanted to see what could happen if she committed fully for six weeks — to the workouts, the nutrition, the steps, the water, the reading, all of it.
And wow, did she deliver.
Here’s what Stacey had to say:
“I thought six weeks would be hard to stick to, but it actually made it easier. I could see the finish line, and I didn’t want to let myself down. By the end, I wasn’t just lighter on the scale — I was stronger, more confident, and proud of myself for proving I could do it.”
Why Six Weeks is the Sweet Spot for Fitness Habits

That’s what makes 42 Strong so powerful. Forty-two days is enough time to:
- See real changes in your body and energy.
- Prove to yourself that consistency is possible.
- Build the kind of habits that stick well past the challenge.
Six weeks might feel random, but there’s real science behind it.
- Habits take root here. Research from University College London found that it takes an average of 66 days to form a new habit. After 42 days of consistent effort, the foundation is solid — showing up starts to feel natural instead of forced.
- Your body adapts in this window. With consistent training and nutrition, noticeable changes in strength, endurance, and body composition often show up within 4–8 weeks. Six weeks is the sweet spot where you see and feel the payoff of your effort.
- It feels possible. Six days is too short to matter. Six months feels overwhelming. But six weeks? That’s doable. You can see the finish line from the start, which makes it easier to stay committed.
This is why the 6 week fitness challenge format is so effective: it’s long enough to build progress, short enough to feel attainable.
Stacey’s Transformation Through the 42 Day Challenge

But what really stood out to me about Stacey wasn’t just the numbers or the photos. It was her attitude. Stacey showed up every day smiling, ready to learn, ready to be coached, ready to put in the work.
She brought an energy that lifted everyone around her. If a coach offered a cue, she took it. If the workout got tough, she pushed through with a grin. She was enthusiastic, coachable, and curious — and that spirit was contagious.
Her before-and-after pictures show an incredible physical transformation, but the deeper win was her mindset. Stacey proved to herself (and everyone else in the room) that consistency works.
How Mindset Powers Success in Fitness and in Life
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my years working in hospitals, especially ICUs, it’s this: the human spirit is the common denominator when it comes to success.
Mindset is everything. And the best part? Anybody can build it. Like muscles, mindset gets stronger with practice, patience, and consistency.
That’s why our 42 Day Challenge isn’t just about workouts or nutrition. It’s about building the habits — and the belief — that you can do hard things and stick with them.
(If you missed it, I wrote more about mindset here: [link to your mindset blog].)
The Takeaway
Stacey’s transformation is proof that when you combine the right program with the right mindset, amazing things can happen. She didn’t just finish the challenge — she walked away stronger in every sense of the word.
Stacey, we’re so proud of you. You are 42 Strong.
