What is DSC's Nutrition Coaching Program?
The DSC nutrition program is an 8-week online course aimed to change eating habits and lifestyle behaviors -- leading to incredible results!
The coaching experience is mostly virtual which is conducive to your busy schedule. It has the ability to be totally virtual for individuals who don't live near Dynamic Strength and Conditioning.
We meet for an initial assessment where we do some baseline testing and goal setting. (All testing is optional and based on your comfort level).
We test body composition (body fat percentage), weight, circumference measures, resting heart rate, blood pressure, etc. We then talk about realistic goals for YOU and base the program of those goals to tailor it to you.
Most of our content is then administered through a private networking group online for you and the other nutrition members only.
Here we post 3 educational videos per week that cover what we want you to apply that week.
Each week has a focus and a goal/activity for you to accomplish. The page is a great place to ask questions, post recipes, etc. It is a great support system, the social support is always great.
The program is geared towards setting good habits and behavior change. We go into everything from how to design a healthy meal, nutrient and energy needs for YOU as an individual, fueling for workout and recovery, muscle gain, fat loss, etc.
We also review a 2-3 day food log each week that you submit and provide feedback on how you are doing and areas of improvement.
The last week, we retest those same measures again to see your results!
Who is DSC's Nutrition Coaching Program for?
The program is ideal for people who want to lose weight, feel better, or increase their athletic performance.
Unlike most diets, our program is not a one size fits all approach.
We customize our advice and content to the individual.
Therefore it can benefit the weight loss participant, as well as the muscle mass gain person.
Whether your goal is to lose a few pounds and learn what a "macronutrient" is, or your a nutrition pro who wants to bring your knowledge and physique to the next level- our coaches will accommodate and push you based on your level.
What can you expect through the 8-week program?
Expect to transform!
Participants can expect to learn everything from how to eat for fat-loss, basic cooking skills to nutrient needs surrounding exercise for optimal performance.
A common theme within the program is behavioral change, how to make healthy eating a habit. Unlike a lot of "diets", the program is designed to give you the tools and know how to make smart decisions on your own after the 8 weeks ends.
Participants can expect to be held accountable for their eating and exercise habits. They are going to be reached out to often by coaches to make sure they are staying on track and to answer questions.
